Overview
Two 45-minute dives at San Cristobal's outer sites. Roca Ballena brings hammerheads and Galapagos sharks; Bajo Cerro Mundo, 45 minutes further out, can hold visibility to 30 meters.
Check-in at the agency at 8:00 a.m., Muelle Acuario I at 8:15 a.m. to meet the dive instructor and set out.
First dive at Roca Ballena: about 45 minutes, maximum depth 18 meters, visibility 10 to 25 meters. Sea lions, rays, whitetip and blacktip sharks, hammerheads, Galapagos sharks, pufferfish, barracuda, tuna, turtles, sea urchins, starfish, moray eels, lobsters and octopus are possible. Snacks, drinks and about an hour of surface interval follow.
Forty-five minutes away is Bajo Cerro Mundo, a dive of about 45 minutes at 10 to 18 meters, visibility 10 to 30 meters. Here you may see sea lions, reef sharks, rays, pufferfish, barracuda, turtles, sea urchins, starfish, moray eels, lobsters and octopus.
Port around 1:00 p.m., depending on ocean conditions.

Good to know
Itinerary subject to change at the discretion of the Galapagos National Park and your dive instructor, depending on ocean conditions. Water temperature January to July 23 to 25 C, August to December 18 to 22 C. Surface interval of about one hour between dives. Bring sunscreen, cap, sunglasses, towels, water bottle and personal items. Divers with their own gear may leave it at the agency the day before.
