Open Water certification required, minimum 8 logged dives. All passengers must come to the agency the day before the tour for equipment fitting, between 3:00 pm and 6:30 pm.
Overview
Two 45-minute dives at the far northeast corner of San Cristobal, at Bajo Pitt and Pitt islet, followed by a walk up Cerro Pitt to the red-footed booby colony.
Check-in at the agency at 7:00 a.m., Muelle Acuario I at 7:15 a.m. to meet the naturalist guide and set out for Punta Pitt.
First dive at Bajo Pitt: about 45 minutes at 15 to 18 meters, visibility 10 to 20 meters, then snacks and drinks on board. Second at Pitt islet, again about 45 minutes at 15 to 18 meters, visibility 10 to 25 meters. At both you may see sea turtles, juvenile sea lions, whitetip, blacktip and Galapagos sharks, hammerheads, rays, pufferfish, starfish, barracuda, tuna and moray eels.
Lunch on board at the beach at Punta Pitt. A walk of about two hours round trip climbs Cerro Pitt, home to the red-footed booby, with blue-footed and Nazca boobies, pelicans, frigatebirds and finches. Port around 5:00 p.m., depending on ocean conditions.

Good to know
Itinerary subject to change at the discretion of the Galapagos National Park and your naturalist guide; the walk may come before the dives depending on ocean conditions. Water temperature January to July 23 to 25 C, August to December 18 to 22 C. Bring sunscreen, cap, sunglasses, water bottle, closed shoes and personal items. Divers with their own gear may leave it at the agency the day before.
