Advanced Open Water certification required, minimum 8 logged dives. All passengers must come to the agency the day before the tour for equipment fitting, between 3:00 pm and 6:30 pm.
Overview
One 45-minute dive at Darwin Bay after dark. Lights pick out reef sharks, cat sharks and octopus, and phosphorescent plankton lights up the water around you as you move.
Check-in at the agency at 6:00 p.m., Muelle Acuario I at 6:30 p.m. to meet the dive instructor and cross to Darwin Bay.
After the briefing the dive runs about 45 minutes at 15 to 18 meters. Night visibility can run 5 to 10 meters.
Under the lights you may see reef sharks, cat sharks, sea lions, rays, turtles, batfish, sea urchins, starfish, octopus, moray eels and lobsters, along with plankton, microscopic phosphorescent organisms that light up the water around you. Port around 9:00 p.m., depending on ocean conditions.

Good to know
Itinerary subject to change at the discretion of the Galapagos National Park and your dive instructor, depending on ocean conditions. Water temperature January to July 23 to 25 C, August to December 18 to 22 C. Bring towels, a water bottle, warm clothing and personal items. Divers with their own gear may leave it at the agency the day before.
