Overview

Two islands in five days. Walk the Twin Craters and lava tunnels on Santa Cruz, ferry to Isabela for Tintoreras Islet and the Sulfur Mines, then snorkel the Santa Cruz bay before you fly home.

Day 1 - A Galapagos National Park guide meets you at Baltra: 10 minutes by Lobito bus, the Itabaca Channel crossing, then 35 to 40 minutes by road to your Santa Cruz hotel. At 14:30, the highlands: Twin Craters, lava tunnels, a private ranch where giant tortoises roam free. Back in Puerto Ayora about 17:00.

Day 2 - Reception at 06:10, Puerto Ayora pier, 2-hour ferry to Isabela, hotel transfer, short orientation drive through the island center. Afternoon: Tintoreras Islet, 2 hours 30 minutes in all. A 10-minute boat ride, a 45-minute walk over Aa lava where you may see marine iguana and sea lion colonies, then a snorkel around the islet.

Day 3 - Meet at 07:15 for the volcanic zone of Isabela: the Sulfur Mines, then the Sucre Caves and its rock formations. Back at the hotel about 13:00. Afternoon free in Puerto Villamil.

Day 4 - Meet at 05:15 for the Puerto Villamil pier and the 2-hour ferry back to Santa Cruz, then your hotel. Morning free. Bay Tour pick-up at 13:30, varying slightly by hotel: 4 to 5 hours over Los Perros beach, Canal del Amor, the Tintoreras channel, the old salt mines and Las Grietas, with two snorkel sessions of about 45 minutes each.

Day 5 - Puerto Ayora to Baltra Airport, with boarding assistance for the flight to Quito. End of services.
